TCL 30 Series Globally Announced
TCL 30 series globally announced
TCL 30 series globally announced. The company recently unveiled the 30, 30+, and 30 5G, three smartphones that are very similar to one another and more like different genres than distinct devices. The one with next-gen connection sticks out, but it also has a more competent chipset. In terms of price, the TLC 30 E and 30 SE are both Android 12 smartphones, although the SE has a few more features. It’s time to tell about the TCL 30 series phones.
TCL 30 5G
With a 7nm chipset that has 2xCortex-A76 cores (2.2 GHz) and 6xA55s (2.0 GHz), the TCL 30 5G is able to produce up to 2.77 Gbps of data throughput.
4GB of RAM and up to 1TB of additional storage via microSD card are included with the processor (there are single and dual-SIM versions of the phone, the MicroSD slot is dedicated). It comes pre-installed with Android 12 and TCL UI 4.0. TCL is expected to make an announcement about future software support for the device shortly.
The phone, like its two brothers, features a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen (60 Hz) with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels (20:9). It has a maximum brightness of 900 nits and covers the whole NTSC color gamut. You may unlock the phone with your face or utilize the fingerprint scanner on the side.
A 50MP camera with a 1/2.76″ sensor (0.64m pixels) and an f/1.8 aperture is also included on both devices. The video resolution is 1080p and the frame rate is 30 frames per second. A 13MP selfie camera with a 96° field of vision is also included in the package. This camera has two additional 2MP cameras on the backside, which are used for macro and depth-of-field photography.
Many different models of the phone are available that support various 4G and 5G bands. Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC round out the list of available wireless technologies. Using the USB-C connector, you may transfer files at USB 2.0 rates.
The 5,010 mAh battery is charged at 18W, which is more critical (9V, 2A). The phone is 7.74 mm thick and weighs 184 grams. The Dreamy Blue or Tech Black color options are also available to you.
The 4/64 GB variant of the TCL 30 5G will cost €250, while the 128GB model will cost €270. It will be accessible in Europe and select other locations beginning in April of this year.
TCL 30+
When it comes time to upgrade the TCL 30+, the Helio G37 chipset with eight Cortex-A53 cores. The PowerVR GE8320 GPU is used instead of the more powerful Helio G37. A dedicated microSD card slot is still included, with 4GB of RAM (LPDDR4) and 128GB of storage (eMMC).
With the same 1080×2400 pixel AMOLED display, 50MP primary camera (with two 2MP assists), and 13MP selfie camera (Android 12 out of the box), this is the same phone like its predecessor.
Only Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) is supported, Bluetooth 5.0 is in use, and NFC is not supported in certain locations.
With the included 18W USB-C power converter, the 5010 mAh battery can be completely charged via USB-C in a little over two hours. There are 3.5 mm headphone connectors on each of the three variants. Dual speakers, however, are only available on the 30 and 30+ models.
The TCL 30+ is now on sale for €200 in Europe and will be made accessible in additional locations in the near future. Muse Blue or Tech Black are the two color options available.
TCL 30
In terms of features, the TCL 30 is almost identical to the Plus, although it’s a little less expensive. Storage is the first thing that’s different: it’s 64GB instead of 32. (you can still expand it via microSD).
There’s also a smaller, but still, 1.12-micron-pixel front-facing camera that sports an 8-megapixel sensor (1/4″ in diameter). It also comes with a 10W charger instead of an 18W charger. A more powerful converter is required to charge the 5010 mAh battery at 18W, although this is still possible.
Europeans may get the TCL 30 for €200, a savings of €20 over the Plus version. It’s coming to other parts of the country shortly, too.
Google Android Enterprise Preferred certified smartphones include the TCL 30 and TCL 30+.
TCL 30 SE
It is powered by the Helio G25, a 12 nm processor with eight A53 cores and a GE8230 GPU. eMMC storage (64 or 128 GB) and 4GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) are also included, with a microSD slot for additional storage.
A 6.52″ LCD with 720×1600 px resolution is used for the display (20:9). It boasts 450-nit maximum brightness, 70 percent of the NTSC color gamut coverage, and 2.5D glass. The 8MP front camera has an 80.6° field of view, which is the same as the one on the TCL 30. However, the fingerprint reader is located on the device’s rear.
A 50MP main module (1/2.76″ sensor, 0.64m pixels, f/1.85 aperture), as well as 2MP macro and 2MP depth cameras, are included on the back of the cheaper TCL 30 series devices. The maximum resolution and frame rate for video recording is set to 1080p@30fps.
With VoLTE and VoWiFi capabilities, this is a 4K phone available in single and dual-SIM models. NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 4 (n) are all supported. Using the USB-C connector, you may transfer files at USB 2.0 rates.
An included 10W charger takes over three hours to charge the battery to its full capacity. If you have the correct power brick, you may charge the phone at a quicker rate of 15W.
At a starting price of €150, the TCL 30 SE is already available in Europe and will be made accessible in additional areas in the not-too-distant future. The TCL 30 costs €30 less than the 6.7″ AMOLED display with 1080x2400px resolution of the TCL 30, which is €30 less expensive.
TCL 30 E
However, the TCL 30 E lacks several of the SE’s features, such as a higher price and a few hardware upgrades. The flat glass on the 6.52″ 720x1600px display separates it from the rest of the screen, which is otherwise identical.
Even though the pricing is cheaper, you still receive the same 50+2+2 MP rear camera and fingerprint reader as on the more expensive model. However, the 5 MP (1/5″ sensor) front camera has a 76° lens. The Helio G25 chipset is still in use, thus both cameras can shoot 1080p video at 30fps.
RAM has been reduced to 3GB (LPDDR4X) while storage has been increased to 64GB (eMMC, no 128GB option). This may be done by using a microSD card in the designated slot.
Finally, the battery size remains unchanged at 5000mAh, and a 10W charger is included. However, this is the fastest charging speed available (a 15W charger is not included).
The TCL 30 E will be on sale in Europe in April, and in additional countries at a later date. €10 less expensive than the SE variant, it costs €140.
