Oppo has been making waves in the smartphone industry with its high-end smartphones, and now it’s reportedly working on a new mid-range device. The Oppo A98 Appears on Geekbench With SD 695 SoC. The smartphone has been in the news for quite some time now. With rumors and leaks about its specifications and design. Recently, the global version of the smartphone has appeared on the Geekbench website, revealing its performance and specifications.
The Oppo A98 5G smartphone has been listed on the website with the model number CPH2529, and it is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, a mid-range processor with a clock speed of up to 2.21GHz. The device also features 8 Kryo 660 cores divided into two clusters and an Adreno 619 GPU, which are common features for mid-range smartphones.

According to Geekbench, the smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 13 out of the box. The Oppo A98 5G scored 885 and 2034 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Which is comparable to other Snapdragon 695 phones like the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite.
As per previous reports, the Oppo A98 5G is expected to feature a 6.7-inch display. With an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could also come with 256 GB of internal storage and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. In terms of the camera, the device is expected to feature a 64MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. Rumors suggest that the Oppo A98 5G is a rebranded version of the Oppo A1 5G. Which is currently available in the Chinese market. With the appearance of the global version on Geekbench, it’s only a matter of time before Oppo officially announces the device’s launch.
